What Is A Pimple?
Before we go into the cure of pimples we need to clarify what a pimple is.
A skin inflammation that results from a clogged pore is a pimple. That clogged pore then normally causes a formation of either a whitehead or a blackhead.
There are a variety of things that can cause pimples such as:
- dirty skin
- body products
- hormonal imbalances
What the body tries to do to rectify the issue is to push the impurity to the surface of the skin which cause the pimple to form.
The unfortunate part of pimples it that they can last anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks and can even leave scars.
To get instant gratification you can simply pop the pimple but they will cause permanent scarring and bleeding which isn’t very nice.
Therefore many people wonder – does toothpaste get rid of pimples.
Does Toothpaste Get Rid Of Pimples?
There are a number of products on the market that promise to quickly dry out and remove pimples. However if you want a quick pimple fix you should try toothpaste.
It is an inexpensive solution and a relatively quick fix.
Make sure when using toothpaste that you use paste instead of the gel kind. Before you apply the paste you need to put ice on the pimple for 10 minutes.
Then just before bedtime apply the toothpaste directly to the pimple and let dry out the pimple overnight.
This should dry out and draw out the impurities caused by the pimple.
In the morning cleanse the skin like normal.
At this point you should notice that the pimple is less noticeable in size and should have reduced the redness.
